The smallest caliber allowed is a .243 win. We recommend 7mm, 30-06, 300 Magnum for antelope and 9,3x62 375HH minimum for dangerous game. We have an assortment of heavy rifles, light rifles & shotguns available for hire along with ammunition.
South African customs requirements are strictly enforced and you will need the following forms to import firearms.
Export Form 4457
This is a temporary export permit issued by the U.S. Customs office specifically for your firearms. It verifies that you had possession of the firearms prior to departing the Untied States. This form is needed to bring the firearms back into the United States.

This is a temporary import/export permit to bring your weapon(s) into South Africa and must be submitted to customs in South Africa

Note I - 1.7: "Barrel Serial Number" - not necessary if barrel is solidly connected to the receiver, as are most bolt action rifles, and the receiver has a serial number and the barrel does not have a serial number. This is only necessary if the barrel has a different serial number than the receiver's serial number or if there is no serial number on the receiver and the only serial number is located on the solidly attached barrel, as in some custom made bolt action rifles.
